SAP-Ne, APCAW, and partners are hosting two ash seed collection trainings to help participants identify and collect ash seeds and preserve ash populations threatened by the invasive emerald ash borer. Participants will use the Ash Seed Collection Manual developed by the APCAW lab.
This first session is for Tribal members and Tribal employees, held on Penobscot Nation lands on Indian Island. A second training, open to the public, will be held at the University of Maine Forest in Old Town, Maine on September 1.
